Heartbeat 12The next day Ren awoke with a feeling of discomfort. He would usually turn off his alarm and fall back to sleep but today, he couldn’t. His thoughts were buzzing with excitement, fear, sadness and happiness all rolled into one huge ball that seemed to have placed itself half way up Ren throat. He got up after a few minutes of trying to get back to sleep and opened the curtains. The sun was barely poking out above the tree line. For a few moments he looked outside, watching a small rabbit run around the grass and then disappear into a hole. ‘Life goes on…’ he whispered as he began pacing his room. His second alarm blared inHeartbeat 12
